Located on one of the most desirable vacation destinations, Cape Cod, the famous, upscale coastal village of Osterville is a fantastic place to visit. Quintessential Cape Cod charm is what this lovely, nicely furnished, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home exudes, with it’s white picket fence and beautiful plantings. Little Neck is located in a quiet neighborhood - perfect for those looking to escape to rest, relax and enjoy all the boutique shops, restaurants, and of course ocean beaches, that Cape Cod has to offer.
With several ocean beaches nearby, you’re sure to be entertained without having to travel far from the home. At Little Neck, you get to choose from 2 of the best beaches located less than a few miles in either direction from this sweet home: beautiful Dowses Beach in Osterville, and Craigville Beach, in Centerville, for miles of beautiful Nantucket Sound with clam shacks located conveniently across the street. The stunning skyline never looks the same way twice at these beaches, with each visit feeling like you are part of a different nature painting.
For those who enjoy walking, this charmer is located less than 2 miles from quaint downtown Osterville Village, where there are sidewalks that line the way to the Village. Enjoy delicious meals at Wimpy's Seafood Cafe, the Chart Room at Crosby’s for breathtaking waterfront dining, and rustic wood-fired pizza and flatbreads at Crisp Restaurant. Treat yourself to gourmet coffee, sandwiches and baked goods from several local eateries. Also in Osterville Village, is Armstrong-Kelley Park for picnics, Fancy's Market for groceries, and Gone Chocolate for quality ice cream. Freshwater Joshua Pond is a peaceful gem with a great view located close to the home, with clear water, a beach with nice sand, playground, and surrounding trails to enjoy.
In the other direction, (also less than 2 miles) is historic Centerville Village - home of the award-winning Four Seas Ice Cream shop and the 1856 Country Store known for its historic building and penny candy. One of the best local libraries on Cape is closeby, adjacent to a historical museum, places of worship and several historic former Sea Captain’s homes and all the charm one might appreciate in a real New England coastal village.
Osterville is known for its seaside delicacies and was originally named “Oyster Island Village” by the first Colonial settlers. Later, the townspeople changed the name to Oysterville, and finally, in 1815, they voted to shorten it to Osterville, and so it remains.
The yard is in the midst of getting a makeover, so currently there are no pictures to share, but there is a lovely deck and patio with a gas grill off the back of the house to relax, and soak in the sun, and breathe in the Cape Cod ocean air.
